Eco Journalism Training
Maharat is organizing a training program on eco journalism with the aim of promoting professional skills and improving the performance of journalists in covering issues related to economy. This program is organized in collaboration with Konrad Adenauer and the Natural resource Governance Institute.
This program is a significant need for professional media coverage, amidst the increasing economic crisis in Lebanon, especially in regard of economic structure in Lebanon, preparation, discussion and approval of the general budget for 2020, and commitments to CEDRE conference reforms.
The first part of the training program covers the following important economic issues: general economic overview and the Lebanese economic model, the general budget, and commitment to CEDRE’s reforms. The second part of the training will promote the following journalistic skills: Interview Techniques, fact checking tools, and media research techniques.
