"Skills" Explains Content Production Challenges in the Middle East

Maharat participated in the 12th meeting of the Internet Governance Forum in Geneva on December 18-21, 2017. In addition to many organizations, the skills of interventions included the first two sessions on "The digital transformation of the Lebanese telecommunications sector" and the second on "Local content: "During the second session, Ms. Rola Makhail and Ms. Layal Behnam discussed the challenges of producing local content in the Middle East, especially legal frameworks, as well as the opportunities and sustainability of digital media in the Middle East and North Africa region, which enhances the production of local content. The lack of access to information, including the production, use, reuse and redistribution of content, legal restrictions on content, lack of skills in the Department of Public Information , The absence of a culture of innovation, etc. The interventions were not limited to challenges but included recommendations and measures that must be worked on to increase opportunities for producing good content in the MENA region.
