Within its work to develop the media laws in Lebanon, Maharat foundation is now preparing a draft for an alternative audio visual media law.
Part of reviewing the experiences of other countries in this field, and after receiving an invitation from Friedrich Ebert Foundation, a group formed from lawyers and journalists was delegated to visit Germany to review its legislations, the work of German media institutions, the conditions for establishing a media institution especially for the audio visual media, and the censorship on media, internet, syndicates, unions, and other issues.
This visit collaborates in developing ideas that help in drafting the alternative law and to enrich the subsequent discussions.
